Open University Students Advance to the Next Round of the ICPC After a Strong 1/8 Final Performance
On October 26, 2025, students from the Open University successfully competed in the 1/8 final round of the ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest), held in an online format, earning a place in the next stage.
ICPC is the world’s most prestigious international team programming competition for university students. It consists of multiple stages and allows participants to demonstrate their algorithmic thinking, logical reasoning, and teamwork skills.
Representing the Open University were:
- Dias Ruslanuly – VTIPO-25-1 group;
 - Ilyas Dzhunuspaev – VTIPO-23-1 group;
 - Damir Kurmanbaev – VTIPO-23-1 group.
 
This success reflects the students’ dedication and hard work, supported by the guidance and expertise of their university mentors and instructors.
Competitive programming events like ICPC play a vital role in enhancing young people’s intellectual potential, fostering collaboration, and promoting the culture of programming in Kazakhstan.
