📍 Day 2 of the seminar: on the recognition of qualifications within the Bologna process

On May 15, 2025, a national seminar titled "Recognition of Qualifications: Bologna Process" was held at Nazarbayev University, organized by the National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE), in collaboration with the Erasmus+ National Office and the National Center for the Development of Higher Education.

A. Alibekova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and A. Mukhambetzhan, Acting Vice-Rector for Academic Mobility and International Relations at Kyzylorda Open University, took part in the seminar.

🔹 The seminar focused on:

  • aligning national education standards with international frameworks,

  • principles of academic qualification and competency recognition,

  • integrating Kazakhstan’s higher education system into the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

📈 The event served as a platform for experience sharing, discussing current challenges in qualification recognition, and strengthening inter-university cooperation.

Insights gained will be applied to enhance the university’s academic policy, improve educational programs, and promote international academic mobility.
